The Sector provides services to pensioners of the internal affairs system on social and humanitarian issues, namely
- keeping records and organization of storage of pensioners' records;
- reception and processing of documents for the appointment (recalculation) of pensions and ;
- acceptance of documents and issuance of certificates of combatants, "Veteran of the Ministry of Internal Affairs", "Veteran of Military Service", badges "War Veteran - combatant", forms of coupons for the right to receive travel documents (tickets) with a 50 percent discount on their cost and for reimbursement of expenses to veterans of the Ministry of Internal Affairs related to travel for treatment and rest in medical rehabilitation centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, sanatoriums and rest homes;
- preparation of information for issuing certificates on the amount of financial support for the recalculation of pensions and the appointment of survivor's pensions to family members;
- acceptance of documents for family members of veterans of internal affairs bodies to receive certificates of eligibility for benefits following the Law of Ukraine "On the Status of Veterans of Military Service, Veterans of Internal Affairs Bodies, Veterans of the National Police and Some Other Persons and Their Social Protection";
- preparation of documents to the Fund for Social Protection of Disabled Persons for payment of compensation for unused vouchers to disabled war veterans;
- consideration of appeals, applications, and complaints on pension and social security of persons discharged from internal affairs bodies and their family members.
